Political Advocacy: Our Voice in Government

Beyond the job site, LIUNA members make an impact at the ballot box and in legislative halls across the country. Political action ensures that laborers have a voice in the decisions that affect their livelihoods. Like any movement, ours relies on a strong political message and an active and engaged membership that participates in the political process and seeks to influence labor-friendly policy and help elect candidates who understand our Union and support our issues. The New Jersey Laborers Political Action Committee helps coordinate and advocate on behalf of our membership. Through political education, candidate support, and issue advocacy, the NJ Laborers PAC gives our members the power to promote and protect our union and industry interests.
- Supporting Pro-Worker Policies – LIUNA fights for fair wages, strong labor protections, investment in infrastructure, and good Union jobs.
- Electing Leaders Who Stand with Us – We back candidates who understand our Union and the industries we work, and who respect the contributions of working people.
- Defending Union Rights – From protecting collective bargaining to fighting against anti-worker legislation, LIUNA members are on the front lines of issue advocacy.
Our members also engage in grassroots activism—attending rallies, speaking with legislators, and mobilizing voters—to ensure the voice of Labor is heard loud and clear.
